We offer a comprehensive lab on-site to deal with day to day diagnostic procedures.

Prior to anaesthetics, we will typically perform a routine health profile. For sick and injured patients more extensive blood work is undertaken. Fluid and cell samples are often assessed in house prior to being sent to a specialist pathology lab for their expert opinion.

Our in-house lab services include:

  • Haematology 

  • Biochemistry 

  • Electrolytes

  • Coagulation

  • Microscopy/cytology 

    • Skin

    • Mast cell and other cutaneous tumours 

    • Lymphoma

    • Body fluid samples 

  • Urine analysis and cytology 

  • Total thyroid hormone levels – T4 

  • Cortisol – basal and ACTH testing in-house 

  • Progesterone – in-house turn around 30min 

  • Pro-BNP – canine and feline myocardial stretch marker (heart disease)
